Is the Devil Trying to Destroy Black People?

In a YouTube Video I recently watched on Facebook Television Preacher Jesse Duplantis, made some very interesting statements about Black people to say the least. I think he meant well however his statements were too allegorical to make a real impact on the plight of Black people. But listen to the video yourself above and form your own opinion.

It's interesting. I think as another Facebook user Crystal Gaines stated "there's SO much more to be said and DONE than just singing Amazing Grace." I also know he's using Amazing Grace as a metaphor for putting our trust in God again.

However,  we have to remember we sung Amazing Grace but also ran the Underground Railroad, had uprising and rebellions, started our on business and religious institutions, boycotted, protested, and fought in the Civil War. And I say this being a Christian.

I can take some more than others but I'm not a big fan of tele-evangelist and preachers especially their perspective on religious application on social issues. Their opinion seems to be glib at best.

  1. I head that message from Mr. Dupantis before. He starts off as if to say he's black and therefore he has a license to speak on behalf of the African American Community. Many people have said he sounds like a black preacher and this had obviously gone to his head.
I didn't get the whole thing about the devil trying to destroy the black race. It was the white man who tired to destroy the black race. It was the white man who made slave trade legal. It was the white man who tried to keep us illiterate and uneducated while we were enslaved. So! No it wasn't the devil.
Yes I get that there is black on black crime and it's getting worse. But the solution isn't to go back and sing Negro spirituals. Slaves sang those songs because it was one of the few things they could do and not get whipped for. I wonder if Jesse Duplanits read that in all those book he talked about in the video. Those songs were of sorrow and pain. Not joy!
Preachers like Mr. Duplantis really need to learn the term "stay in your lane." Jesse Duplantis has not gone into any high crime area where there is black on black crime to help the African American community. He has not offered any solutions in his little speech other than to sing old Negro Spirituals. He only talk about going back to what our ancestors did. Our ancestors were just trying to stay alive. They had to literally fight for their lives on a daily basis. I don't get where he's coming from on this at all.
